Most standard drug tests screen for THC and its metabolites, particularly THC-COOH, which remains in the body after THC is broken down. Since CBN is derived from THC, some drug tests may detect trace amounts of it, especially if the CBN product contains even small levels of THC.
Does CBN Cause a Positive Drug Test?
Pure CBN without THC should not trigger a positive drug test. However, many CBN products such as CBN gummies, are derived from full-spectrum hemp extracts, which may contain up to 0.3% THC (the legal limit in Canada and the U.S.). If consumed regularly or in high doses, this small amount of THC could accumulate in the body and increase the chances of a positive result.
